ステーキ・オン・ザ・グリル

American BBQ Grill

The model installed at our facility is the 'Weber Performer Premium Charcoal Grill 57cm / GBS Grate.' This grill is a lidded charcoal grill and differs from the typical Japanese-style Yakiniku BBQ. In Japanese-style Yakiniku, everyone gathers around the grill and enjoys picking at the cooked meat with chopsticks. However, this grill is designed for a different style, where one person manages the grilling, cooking the food, and serving it to everyone.

This grill's key feature is its ability to cook with the lid closed, allowing heat to circulate and slowly cook the food. As a result, it retains the moisture in the ingredients while adding a smoky flavor. It is especially suitable for cooking large cuts of meat, such as thick steaks or whole chickens.
For a clear guide on lighting the charcoal, grilling, and cleaning up afterward, please refer to this YouTube video (starting at 4:39).

We provide the following essential accessories for your BBQ, as mentioned in the video:
  • Chimney starter (charcoal lighter)
  • Grill tongs
  • Thermometer
  • Char-Basket fuel holders
  • Heat-resistant gloves
  • Charcoal rake & tongs
  • Grill cleaning brush

However, the following items are not provided, so please bring them with you:
  • Charcoal briquettes
  • Fire starters
  • Aluminum drip pans
  • Wood chips for smoking (if you plan to add a smoky flavor to your food)
Please note that using charcoal other than charcoal briquettes, such as lump charcoal or sawdust briquettes, may result in longer ignition times, difficulty in controlling temperature, and a diminished charcoal flavor. Therefore, we recommend using the charcoal briquettes mentioned in the video above. (They don't have to be Weber brand.)
